DfES Joint Planning and Commissioning Framework

The DfES has published a Joint Planning and Commissioning Framework (new window) for Children, Young People and Maternity Services under Every Child Matters: Change for Children programme. The framework is for use by children's trusts in planning and commissioning children's services.

Competency Audit Tool

The Competency Audit Tool (new window) has been developed to assist joint commissioning groups and commissioners of young people’s substance misuse services. It is a self assessment tool designed to help identify:

• what is expected of each member of the Joint Commissioning Group
• whether they are working to national standards
• what improvements can be made
