2008 National Seminar Report
The report provides the opportunity for delegates who attended the seminar to follow up points, issues, queries, and links from the contents of the event main sessions and workshops to their areas.
This is also a document for seminar delegates and for stakeholders in the 'Improving Practice in Housing for Drug Users' working group, to check on the continuation of the work undertaken before, during and after the event. This includes practice sharing and networking activities within and around the presentations and workshops held during the event.
Part 1 of the report focuses on the contents of the presentations, speakers' presentations and outcomes from the workshops to provide present delegates and those who could not attend the seminar with the main messages and findings raised and conveyed throughout the event.
Annexes 1 to 3 of the report focus on aspects and outcomes of the seminar: feedback received from delegates, practice-focused outcomes from the workshops and suggested applications of the information gathered and discussed throughout the seminar in their respective service provision areas. This supports and applies principles from the practice paper 'Improving practice in housing for drug users - a partnership project'.
