Guidance for non-intensive DIP areas

This document provides an overview of the DIP-related provisions of the Drugs Act 2005 - testing on arrest (ToA), required assessment (RA) and restriction on bail (RoB) -  in so far as they will impact on non-intensive DIP areas.

It explains the actions which non-intensive areas will need to take, in relation to required assessment and restriction on bail, if an individual testing positive in an intensive area is resident in and returns to a non-intensive area.  It also sets those actions within the legislative context and provides links to other relevant sources of information.
