Peterborough BME report - summary
The Drug Interventions Programme, as part of its wider work on community engagement with DIP, commissioned Peterborough Drug Action Team (DAT) to undertake a study of Peterborough's 'new' and emerging BME communities into their needs, their experiences of using drugs, and their knowledge and experiences of accessing drug services in Peterborough.
The research was also intended to inform Peterborough's Drug Intervention Programme (DIP) work with individuals from these communities. It will help enable them to put the principles of community engagement effectively into practice, in order to benefit Black and minority ethnic offenders, providers and local communities.
