The UNDCP is part of the United Nations Office for Drug Control and Crime Prevention (ODCCP), a global leader in the fight against illicit drugs and international crime. The UNDCP aims to strengthen international action against the production and trafficking of drugs.
Examples of the Programme's work include alternative development projects, illicit crop monitoring and anti-money laundering programmes. UNDCP also provides accurate statistics on illicit drug consumption worldwide through the Global Assessment Programme (GAP).
