Terms and conditions
- All nominations must complete the nomination form (new window).
- Any submissions received via any other means will not be eligible for the judging process.
- Nominations must be received on or before midnight on Monday 31 August 2009. Any entries received after this date will not be eligible for entry.
- All nominees must be aged 18 years or over on 31 August 2009.
- Entrants must be resident in England and Wales.
- If an individual is being nominated under one of the categories they may work alone or as part of a group/organisation.
- If a team is being nominated we are interested in how a group of people have come together to make a difference and have worked together to achieve the same objectives. The term 'team' doesn't necessarily mean they have to work in the same organisation.
- Entries will be judged by a Home Office chaired panel.

- Drug team of the year
- The judging panel will choose five finalists from each category. From these finalists, two overall winners will be chosen.
- Each winner will receive a grant of up to £10,000 for their organisation to spend on continuing, expanding or improving their work in the drugs field.
- The judges reserve the right to transfer a nominee to a different category than the one originally nominated against if felt that the nominee would be more suitably placed under another category.
- The judges' decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
- The winners will be announced on 9 December 2009 at the Tackling Drugs Changing Lives awards ceremony.
