More ideas to promote National Tackling Drugs Week

• Contact regional media with new case studies, using National Tackling Drugs week as a hook/reason for getting in touch.  Consider using case studies of alternative treatment and therapies for example, in order to break the myth that treatment equals methadone.
• Use the week to open doors that are not normally open, for example the local prison, to showcase the drug treatment/prevention taking place.
• Focus on diversionary projects to show people the productive activities undertaken by service users.
• Suggest a coloumn 'A Week in the Life....' to the local paper: a diary piece about a typical week in the life of a drugs worker/service user.
